„Pierogi” = dumblings. Qick glimpse: filling enclosed in a pocket of wheat dough. Cooked. Descripion: Shape and look: Polish dumblings are made of wheat dough that is rolled out thinly and then circles are cut out of it. The filling is placed in the center of the circle, then the circles are folded in half and the edges are sealed. This creates a very characteristic, semi-circular shape of the Polish pierogi. Cooked or fried? Cooked. Polish dumblings are coocked. Even if this is fried version - it is cooked first, and then fried. Typically they are served cooked.
